Discerning your right path

Discernment is defined as “the quality of being able to grasp and comprehend what is obscure; an act of perceiving something; a power to see what is not evident to the average mind.” The definition also stresses accuracy, as in “the ability to see the truth.” Spiritual discernment is the ability to tell the difference between truth and error. It is basic to having wisdom.

Many of us are faced with this question daily "How do I know if this is the right dream, career choice or partner for me?" Yet, knowing if we are on the right path is really not so difficult, we fail to know the answer because we lack discernment. If we can tap into divine discernment, if we take time to listen to that tiny whisper we will get the answer but most times we shut out the tiny whisper and embrace the loud voice screaming at us "go for it" "go for it".

“We need discernment in what we see and what we hear and what we believe” Charles R. Swindoll

Joyce Meyer quote on discernment, “Some people think they have discernment when actually they are just suspicious. Suspicion comes out of the unrenewed mind; discernment comes out of the renewed spirit.”

Life is about exploring your passions and then finding ways to incorporate those passions into your life so that you can be fulfilled. You’re on the right path when you are not doing things that make you uncomfortable, instead what you are doing gives you energy rather than deplete it. In other words when you find your sweet spot in life where you do what you love, what you're good at, and what society values, then you are fulfilling your divine calling and very much on the right path. If you apply the wisdom of God at all times and follow His guidance, you will grow yourself a life of contentment and abundance.

People who are in touch with their inner self can best navigate life's stumbling blocks. They quit jobs they know aren’t right for them. They end relationships that aren’t fulfilling. They move out of their State or country etc. They make tough choices that baffle those around them because they know on the long run they are making the right choices. Never compromise your inner tuition that tells you that you are on the wrong part.

Incase you fail you must rebound after failure. In life trying to know your path sometimes leads to trial and error. Let every failure teach you something and then continue to search for your true path in life. “Winners never quit and quitters never win.” Quote by Vince Lombardi

Following your heart means you are aligned with the reason you were born, your life's purpose. It is a dynamic, fluid, and moment to moment adventure. Ask yourself, "Whose life am I living?" If it's your life, your path, your dreams and desires you're following, then you are on the right path. Whatever path you've chosen, I wish you make it the best of it all, good luck!
